April 7, 2018

There is a line, a seeming barrier
between traveling in the world and entering
the cosmos of the Divine.

The transition appears to be a formidable road to even enter upon,
although the signs all read, "You are welcome here. Come Home."

Why do we hesitate accepting the Call, the Invitation?
Perhaps the known, as we know it appears the safer place –
what we know, the ego says , "Is all you need to know!"

Yet, having the seen the signs just once
evokes a longing memory that cannot be entirely erased,
a desire to return and to step across the threshold,
be lovingly embraced by our Creator, and return once again,
Home.

Spring decided to wait a bit for its birth this Year,
a small snow fell last night and covered trees and mountains
with the garment that will soon melt and offer its water
to waiting roots, anxious to grow
and become Spring's lovely new clothes.

We hear Eternity's Voice in the coming of each new Season,
songs sounding through the valleys and hills,
coming to us from the Mountain of Your Great Spirit.

You, our Loving Creator,
are Life calling to life along the mountain passes,
and through the valleys where we wait on Your generosity
of new growth, and Gifts of fresh insight,
as You sing the song of Spring's arrival once again.

  1. I agree and have been thinking about the same things just this evening at work. Wanting to go home to experience God's presence again, sensing he is so far away, yet so near if we just seek him. The barrier is created by us. He is near all the time.
